The HPXML Implementation Guide is designed to help to program administrators, implementers, and software developers integrate HPXML into their work stream or product.

The guide is divided into two sections. The first section is for program administrators. This section discusses the benefits of HPXML adoption and walks administrators through the process of goal setting, identifying data needs, data validation, testing protocols and user training, and quality management.

The second section is for software developers. This section provides developers with information on versioning, document structure, xml element references and use case validation. The guide also provides links to sample HPXML files.
